Beltran looking strong for St. Lucie
NEW YORK -- With one week remaining before his activation, Carlos Beltran continues to produce.
Beltran finished 1-for-1 with a double, a walk and two runs scored Wednesday for Class A St. Lucie, upping his Florida State League average to .414 in 12 games. Wednesday's game was suspended in the bottom of the fifth inning due to rain, preventing Beltran from playing more than five innings in the field.
He is due to rejoin the Mets on July 15 in San Francisco.
