Jose Reyes had his second spring triple in the seventh, followed by Carlos Beltran's third home run, off left-hander John Parrish. Five of the Mets' six hits were for extra bases.

Orioles on the mound: Wright, making his fourth start, walked three and allowed two hits and two runs in four innings. Bell struck out Beltran and retired Carlos Delgado with the bases loaded in the fifth.

Mets on the mound: Pelfrey withstood early resistance and had decent outing. Pitching inside more, he walked none and allowed seven hits, including two in the first when the Orioles scored their only run against him.
