Friday, March 30 Marlins at the plate: Dan Uggla hit his second home run of the spring, leading off the fourth inning, on the first pitch thrown by Ambiorix Burgos. Cody Ross had a double in the seventh. Scott Seabol drove in the second run with a sacrifice fly.
Mets at the plate: With Paul Lo Duca batting second and David Wright fifth, the Mets scored twice in the first inning. Carlos Delgado's single through the middle produced he first run. Wright's sacrifice fly drove in the other. Shawn Green stole second base and scored from second on a single to left by Miguel Negron. Jose Reyes followed with a double. Delgado later was hit by a pitch, in the back, to drive in a run. A walk to Wright drove in another. Lastings Milledge drove in two runs with a single in the eighth.
Marlins on the mound: Ricardo Rodriguez allowed two runs and four hits in his two-inning start. His successor, Nate Field, allowed three in the fourth, hitting a batter and walking another with the bases loaded.Mets on the mound: Chan Ho Park, who wasn't scheduled to pitch -- much less start, pitched the first three innings and allowed only a walk with five strikeouts. Burgos allowed the home run by Uggla and then retired three. Pedro Feliciano pitched a perfect fifth, his 12th scoreless inning in 13 appearances. Joe Smith pitched the sixth and struck out two.
