Mets recall left-handed pitcher Sean Gilmartin from Las Vegas

The New York Mets today announced that the club has recalled lefthanded pitcher Sean Gilmartin from Las Vegas (AAA) of the Pacific Coast League and optioned infielder T.J. Rivera to Las Vegas.

Gilmartin, 26, made one start for the 51s so far this season, pitching 3.1 innings and allowing three runs, earned, on four hits on April 9 at El Paso.

Last season, Gilmartin went 0-1 with a 7.13 ERA (14 earned runs/17.2 innings) in 14 games, one start, for the Mets. In 64 career major league games (two starts), Gilmartin is 3-3 with a 3.72 ERA (31 earned runs/75.0 innings), 65 strikeouts and 25 walks.
