NEW YORK -- The Mets will hold their annual winter blood drive Thursday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. ET at Citi Field's Caesar's Club, the team announced Tuesday. All donors will receive a voucher redeemable for a pair of tickets to a select Mets game in April.
In addition, fans may show their voucher at Citi Field's Mets team store to receive a 15-percent discount off regularly-priced merchandise. Season-ticket holders who donate and show proper identification will receive a 20-percent discount. Both discounts are valid only on Thursday.
Donors may park in Lot G on 126th St. between the right-field gate and Roosevelt Ave.
The Mets are holding their blood drive in conjunction with the New York Blood Center (NYBC), which annually provides close to one million blood components to nearly 200 hospitals throughout New York City, New Jersey, Hudson Valley, Long Island and parts of Connecticut and Pennsylvania. Established in 1964, NYBC is one of the largest community-based nonprofit blood collection and distribution organizations in the United States.
