NEW YORK -- The Mets will host their annual winter blood drive at Citi Field from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET on Thursday, in partnership with the New York Blood Center. All fans who donate blood will receive a voucher redeemable for one pair of tickets to a select Mets game in April.
Fans who donate blood can also show their voucher at the Mets team store at Citi Field for a 15-percent discount on regularly priced merchandise. Season-ticket holders who donate blood can show their ID card for a 20-percent discount, which is valid only on Thursday.
Donors may park in Lot G on 126th St. between the right field gate and Roosevelt Ave., then proceed into the Hodges VIP entrance and up to the Caesars Club.
The New York Blood Center is one of the largest community-based, non-profit blood collection and distribution organizations in the United States. It annually provides nearly one million blood components to nearly 200 hospitals throughout New York City, New Jersey, Hudson Valley, Long Island and parts of Connecticut and Pennsylvania.
