Mets & Pat LaFrieda Expand Partnership At Citi Field For 2013

The New York Mets today announced an expansion of their partnership with Pat LaFrieda of Pat LaFrieda Meat Purveyors for the 2013 season at Citi Field. 

A LaFrieda Meats branded Chop House will open inside the Delta Sky360° Club on the Sterling Level. Named Pat LaFrieda's Chop House the new dining location will offer both a sit-down and bar menu creating a one of a kind experience where fans can relax and enjoy a meal while at the ballpark for a Mets game.

The Chop House will offer an exclusive LaFrieda custom burger blend the "Citi Field Amazin' Burger," which consists of a hand-pressed 10oz black angus blend of boneless short rib and beef belly topped with crispy onion rings, red wine gastrique compressed tomato, garlic-dill pickles and American cheese served on a brioche bun.

The menu will feature a blend of light fare and sandwiches showcasing two LaFrieda family recipes - the Pat LaFrieda's Original Filet Mignon Steak Sandwich as well as Pat's grandfather's custom blend sweet Italian sausage & peppers.  Rounding out the menu is a selection of entrees including succulent Colorado frenched lamb chops, and a flavorful 16oz dry-aged bone in NY Strip steak, sides and freshly baked desserts.  A shortened version of the Chop House menu will be available at the bar adjacent to the restaurant.

In addition to the existing Pat LaFrieda's Original Filet Mignon Steak Sandwich stand that debuted last year, LaFrieda will now offer a second location on the Promenade Level behind home plate. This stand will also feature Korean Style Steamed Buns, two boneless black angus short rib buns, one boneless chicken bun all marinated in a mouthwatering blend of ginger, soy, scallions and sesame oil.
