Lagares then tied a career high with three hits on Saturday, contributing another double and an RBI, in a 5-4 victory. The 24-year-old posted a third straight multihit game on Sunday, going 2-for-3 with a home run and a career-high-tying three RBIs.
Lagares' strong weekend showing raised his season average to .265, including .412 (14-for-34) in the month of July.
