Called up from Las Vegas (AAA) on September 6 and was on the major league roster for the first time in his career...Made his major league debut as a pinch-hitter on September 11 at Atlanta...Recorded his first career hit and RBI with an RBI double on September 24 vs. Philadelphia... Finished the game 2-3 with two doubles and two RBI...Batted .325 (145-446) with 27 doubles, eight home runs, 55 RBI and 71 runs scored in 117 games for the 51s...His .325 average was a new career-high while his 27 doubles and eight home runs both matched career-highs...Ranked among the Pacific Coast League leaders in average (.325, third), hits (145, fourth), on-base percentage (.390, fifth) and lowest total plate appearance/strikeout ratio (9.07, 2nd)...Started 104 games at shortstop and committed 33 errors...Also saw action at second base, making three starts there at the tail end of the season...Named the Pacific Coast League Player of the Week for the week of June 13-19...Batted .440 (11-25) with two home runs and 10 RBI during the week...Batted .295 (18-61) with 12 runs scored, five doubles, one triple, one homer and seven RBI in 16 games for Scottsdale of the Arizona Fall League...Finished 15th in the AFL in batting average.
