Marcos Molina graduated from Centro Educativo Quisqueya in Santiago...Brother, Marcos Lennin Molina, pitched in the Cincinnati Reds organization from 2008-2009, reaching as high as Sarasota (A) of the Florida State League...Enjoys playing video games in his spare time.

2017

Spent the early part of the year recovering from his September, 2015 Tommy John surgery...Joined St. Lucie (A) of the Florida State League on May 16 and was promoted to Binghamton (AA) of the Eastern League on June 16...Went a combined 5-10 with a 3.21 ERA (38 earned runs/106.2 innings) in 18 games (17 starts)...Struck out 86 and walked 26...Posted a 1.26 ERA (four earned runs/28.2 innings) in five starts for St. Lucie before his promotion...Tossed back-to-back complete games on August 11 at Akron (6.0 innings) and August 18 vs. Portland (7.0 innings)...Worked out of the bullpen on July 30 vs. New Hampshire for his only relief appearance of the season...Tossed 6.0 innings and allowed two runs, earned, on five hits...Came out of the bullpen because Tommy Milone made a MLB rehab start with Binghamton that night...Tossed 6.0 or more innings in 10 of his 12 starts with Binghamton, including four outings of 7.0 innings.
